I am delighted and surprised to discover that Flicker is on the shortlist for the Douglas Barbour Award for Speculative Fiction as part of this year's Alberta Book Publishing Awards! Winners will be announced on Sept. 24th. Honestly have to say I never imagined being in contention for a speculative fiction award, but I am very honoured nonetheless!
